Objectives
To promote the trade to the public and the government, to advice the schools about the training of farriers, to give additional training to the farriers.

Qualifications
The ZB hoefsmid diploma or comparable diploma
Contributions
FL 400,- for members, who are self employed, FL 150,-, for members who work as an employee.
Activities
The association organises training days for members, writes articles in magazines for horse owners, mediates between members and customers.
Newsletters
Three times a year the association sends the members a letter with announcements of events and plans. Every two months the association can use three pages of a magazine for horse owners to write about the trade and to promote the members.
Rules
In the Netherlands are for 1996 no protection measures by the government.
The association only accept certificated farriers as a member and advertise with that point to the horse owners.
